The Wysh
A creature born into our world through violence, tragedy, and unanswered questions.

Description
When a dying individual whispers "Why?", it acts as a small prayer—a desperate plea to understand their fatal circumstance. In that fleeting moment of grief and agony, their parting soul fuses with a malevolent spirit crossing over from a nearby plane.
Fueled by lingering rage and an insatiable desire for vengeance, this entity attaches itself to its host's killer. It manifests as a shadowy parasite, covertly orchestrating dangerous situations and subtle mishaps to plague the individual it haunts.
Mechanic: Creating a Wysh
Whenever a creature is slaughtered unnecessarily, the GM rolls a d10:
- On a 10: A Wysh is spawned from the dying breath of the victim and immediately attaches itself to the killer.
GM Notes & Usage
- Lore: The Wysh is rarely seen directly; it lingers in dark corners and deep shadows behind its victim. Its face is a frozen, exaggerated grimace of sorrow and spite.
- Adventure Hook: If a player character executes an innocent NPC or foe needlessly, test their luck with a d10 roll. The haunting of a Wysh provides excellent roleplay opportunities as cursed mishaps begin following the party!
